Focus on Infrastructure
The infrastructure of the neighborhood could be a vital issue when you’re looking for a house or apartment in Amsterdam. This includes how easy it is to find your way around the neighborhood, whether the highways are quickly accessible from where the house or apartment is, accessibility of the public transportation such as trains, trams, buses and metro’s. But what’s not to be underestimated, is how difficult Amsterdam can be when it comes to driving your car around the city. Especially the Amsterdam city center isn’t easy to navigate through by car, as most of the streets and canals are one-way traffic, and the streets are quickly jammed, especially around rush hour. The same thing goes for the highways around the city and on the connecting highways to other big cities such as Utrecht, Rotterdam and Den Haag. These are important issues that you need to consider when you’re in Amsterdam looking for houses!
